Till a few years ago, Mercedes-Benz, the iconic car maker was lacking far behind when it came to the luxury saloon segment. The S-class, introduced by the brand in the year 2002 created a lot of buzz around the automobile industry, however, the sales of the car did not speak a lot about it. But, the 2020 Mercedes Maybach S Class has taken the word luxury to another level. It is currently one of the most desired cars in the Indian market.
On the other hand, the Bentley Flying Spur is a car with a very contemporary design. The car has a sharp design and is a rare car in India. But the question here is, which of these luxury saloons stand out in terms of overall performance.
When it comes to exteriors, the previous Maybach had the two-tone exterior which did not please the eyes that much but the new Mercedes S Class is more subtle and classy from the exteriors and is an attention seeker. The flying-spur at times can be mistaken for a normal S-class but still, it has the look of a modern British car.
What about the interiors?
When it comes to the Maybach, you would always want to be driven in this German masterpiece. The reclining Nappa leather seats, glass holders and the infotainment systems for the seats, is the way anyone would love to travel all their life. The interiors of the Bentley are more suitable for the drivers. It has the classic tanned leather seats and lacquered wood. The features that a Maybach’s interior offers makes it a very special car.
What’s under the hood?
The Mercedes S Class comes with a twin-turbo V12 engine with an output of 523 hp and a torque of 612 lb-ft, making it a very smooth vehicle. The Flying Spur, on the other hand, has a W12 engine which has slightly better output than the Mercedes S Class . The Spur produces 100 hp more than the Maybach.
What makes it special?
The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-class is the epitome of luxury and you feel that richness as soon as you get into the car. It is currently one of the most appreciated cars in the market. The Continental Flying Spur is, however, an entry-level Bentley and cannot compete with the Maybach’s luxury and privilege.
The Flying Spur is much costlier than the Maybach when it comes to pricing. The price of Mercedes Maybach justifies the features and luxury it offers, making it one of the best luxury saloons available in the country and having a car like it in your garage will grant you the feeling of achievement.
You can now test drive the new Mercedes S-Class at your nearest Autohangar Mercedes showroom.
